Many of the once secret files of the East German police have been opened.  Not surprisingly, the well known connection to terrorism seems to be validated after examining old secrets.  Their tactic was sound, conduct operations in cooperation with terrorist groups, learn their tactics, mimic the tactics while conducting separate operations, blame the results on terrorist groups.

A basic and well thought out deception plan. The lesson, we should never be surprised at the lengths intelligence agencies will go to deceive their counterparts.  This story highlights an example of those efforts.
