Rep. Murtha was confronted by Jason Mattera of the Young America’s Foundation regarding the charges being dropped against some of the Haditha marines.  Murtha appears to try and use the excuse that it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing trial.  Rep. Murtha states, “The trial is not over.”

 Of course Murtha did not apply this standard when he accused the marines of killing innocent Iraqi’s in cold blood.  He had no qualms about  making such comments before a trial in an effort to score political points.
